"Stay away. The first room they gave us smelled so bad I thought something had died. The next room had only one plug for the TV and refrigerator; take your pick, but only one at a time. Turns out that it didn't matter as the fridge was broken. The room was filthy. Ignore the Hotel's website: miles from the central city, nothing nearby and no in-room safety deposit box. This place is not a good deal."

"The bathroom is so small that my legs were up to my chin while sitting on the toilet..... The shower head fell off the hook each time the water was turned off. At breakfast the coffee was cold, when one of the guests asked for hot coffee, the waitress became so upset she pushed her trolly against the wall. A scene out of Fawlty Towers! In short, avoid this hotel if you can ....."

"...nothing like a 4 star property, not even a 3 star. Room was very small and the smell terrible. The bar was never open. Reception staff were unhelpful. We didn't go for breakfast as the smell in my room put us off. You could not even get a cup of coffee or tea. It's not a hotel I would stay in again or recommend to anyone. However we loved Rome and will be back later this year."

"...labeled as a 4 star hotel, and from the looks of their very selective website, it appears so. Ignore the website totally. The room was very small and lacked working heat, remotes for the television or a safe. I repeat, NO SAFE in any of the rooms. The rude desk staff informed me that it would cost 5 Euros a day to place something in their safety deposit box. I will also mention that my bag was moved, opened, and looked though by the staff.
My balcony consisted of stained outdoor carpeting, a broken table with no chairs, and a view of the hotel next door. There were no windows in the room, only a door to the balcony (which did not fully open).
Breakfast was cold hard boiled eggs, coffee, some hams and yogurts. It was not good, but not terrible, however every piece of silverware and all the glasses and most of the plates were dirty.
The hotel is in a suburb of Rome, and is miles away from any attraction."
Unfortunately Hotel reviews for Rome like these are not uncommon! Hotels which have received complaints about cleanliness, staff efficiency, friendliness, faulty air con, smelly bathrooms, poor breakfast etc. have been gladly left off our 4 star elegant Rome hotel list.
