Giglio Dell Opera, Worst Rome Hotel

We just spent several days at the Giglio Dell Opera Hotel in Rome. We didn't realize that we had $100 in American dollars stolen from our posessions until we left (we only used Euros and didn't check out dollar currency until on the train heading to Florence).

Needless to say my wife and I were very upset. The bathroom was mouldy all over, and the shower tiny with no hot water on our first evening. The room was way too small for four adults to share even though we were told differently.

There was construction going on in the hallway - paint, tools, noise and dirt everywhere. The internet didn't work, nor the air conditioning didn't work.

The breakfast was "slim pickings" for late comers, and nothing else available even you if you asked. A truly terrible place to stay, and unfortunately put a bad taste to our Rome and Italy vacation.

The only positive is that the hotel was close to public transport.
